  • To strengthen competencies by fostering experts in explosion protection and cultivating expertise to develop competence in all industries

Content

  • Training of fundamental explosion protection knowledge, definition and inspection of hazardous areas, and inspection of explosion protection in order to prepare the candidates for the safe operation of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres.

    Perform classification of hazardous areas

Candidates

  • Candidates need to be certified with IECEx CoPC Unit Ex 001
  • Candidates need to have at least 2 years of work experience with electrical equipment installation or other explosion protection related occupation in hazardous areas

Assessment Criteria

  • The theoretical assessment consists of constructed and selected response questions. It is an open book examination, and the absence of keywords may be a deduction factor.
  • The pass mark for the assessment is 75% or more.
