  • Auditing the training of fundamental explosion protection knowledge, definitions of Ex zones, and the inspections of explosion protection for safe electrical installations in explosive atmospheres

    Perform classification of hazardous areas
  • IECEx CoPC Unit Ex 008
    Perform detailed inspection of electrical installations in or associated with explosive atmospheres
  • IECEx CoPC Unit Ex 009
    Design electrical installation in or associated with explosive atmospheres
  • IECEx CoPC Unit Ex 010
    Perform audit inspection of electrical installations in or associated with explosive atmospheres

Candidates

  • Candidates need to be certified with IECEx CoPC Unit Ex 001
  • Candidates need to have at least 2 years of work experience with electrical equipment installation or other explosion protection related occupation in hazardous areas

Assessment Criteria

  • The theoretical assessment consists of constructed and selected response questions. It is an open book examination, and the absence of keywords may be a deduction factor.
  • The pass mark for the assessment is 75% or more.

Day 4
  • Cable and wiring system
  • Selection of cable gland and accessories
  • Loop calculation exercises
Day 5 Theoretical and Practical Assessments
